Championship Night Highlights at Lebanon Valley

Eddie Marshall's Victory

Eddie Marshall took the lead on lap 2 during Championship Night at Lebanon Valley. From that point, he built a comfortable lead and secured his only victory of the 2025 season.

“The car worked real well [tonight],” Marshall said afterward. “I wasn’t quite sure what we had tonight since the track was [more slippery] than Thursday night. We made a few adjustments, not sure where they were going to land, and liked [them].”

Marshall won by 3.184 seconds over Kyle Sheldon. Matt Pupello finished third, followed by Kolby Schroder and Chris Curtis. Andy Bachetti, who finished sixth, wrapped up his sixth straight Modified championship.

Race Dynamics

Ryan Charland started from the pole but quickly lost the lead to Sheldon. Marshall, starting fourth, followed Sheldon past Charland to move up to second. Shortly after, Marshall made his move on Sheldon to take the lead.

Bachetti entered the night with a 30-point lead over Schroder. All he needed to do was stay out of trouble to secure the title. He moved up from 13th on the grid and gradually entered the top 10.

Schroder, fresh off his Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A. victory on Thursday night, was strong again. He drove into the top five late in the race.

Marshall extended his lead to three seconds before encountering lapped traffic. That lead fluctuated but ultimately expanded again. He managed to hold on in a caution-free race.

358 Modifieds Showdown

In the 358 Modifieds, Curtis had a 17-point lead entering the night and gained two more points in his heat. He also needed to avoid trouble.

This race featured an early duel between pole sitter Brian Berger and Brady Cordova. The two drivers traded the lead no less than four times in the first six laps. Eventually, Berger took control.

Further back, Bachetti moved up from the 10th starting position, entering the top five before lap 10. With 10 laps to go, he was in fourth but out of real contention for the win.

With six laps remaining, Jeff Watson collided with the lapped car of Sean Mandell, bringing out the race’s only caution. This was just what Bachetti needed. He swept around both Cordova and Berger to take the lead on the restart.

From there, Bachetti pulled away to claim his third win of the year by 2.824 seconds over Cordova. Joey Coppola finished third, followed by Berger and Curtis. Curtis secured the title by 15 points.

Sportsman Class Highlights

The Sportsman class saw Anthony Maxon start from pole and lead early over Cordova. Further back, Owen Lewis encountered an issue that resulted in him sliding into the wall in turn 4. This caused the only yellow flag of the race.

Maxon opened a decent advantage after the restart, taking advantage of the low line. The only driver consistently using the high line was Tim Hartman Jr.

Hartman utilized that line to drive up to the front, catching Maxon with a couple of laps to go. The multi-time champion attempted to get to Maxon’s inside, but the Vermont racer held him off to take the win by just .094 seconds. Dylan Grogan finished third, followed by Cordova and Nick Giardini.

Limited Sportsman Championship Drama

In the Limited Sportsman class, three drivers were in contention for the championship. Brian Walsh started from the pole and led early. However, he was caught and passed by Daniel Odell, whose car showed improvement late in his heat race, on lap 3 for the lead.

While Odell continued to lead, the championship picture changed dramatically. Walsh was eliminated from the race in a crash on lap 10 with Harold Robitaille and Garrett Biagiarelli in turn 3. A couple of laps later, Brandon Lemaire spun out of fifth.

Odell held on to take his first victory by .230 seconds. Dylan Holmes secured second place, enough to win the Limited Sportsman title. Braxton Martin finished third, while Dalton Gamache and Mike Block rounded out the top five.

Pro Stock Action

In Pro Stock, Shawn Perez started on pole in his No. 09. He held onto the lead early until Rick Duzlak spun in turn 2, bringing out the race’s only yellow on lap 4.

This allowed Zach Sorrentino, who was in a tight points battle with Chris Stalker, to move forward. On the restart, Sorrentino dispatched Shawn Perez Jr. and passed his father on lap 6 to take the lead.

In the second half of the race, Sorrentino had to contend with Frank Twing, who had been strong in recent weeks. However, he managed to hold on to win not only the feature but also defend his Pro Stock title.

Sorrentino won by .644 seconds over Twing. Stalker finished third, followed by Tom Dean and Shawn Perez Jr.

Street Stock Results

In Street Stock, Gary O’Brien celebrated his first win of the year. Anthony King finished second and won the championship.
