All Other Classes May Use The LV Membership!

TECH BULLETINS

2019 BULLETINS:

  • Open Motor weight 3150lbs 6300rpm chip.  Crate motor 6300rpm chip weight stays the same 3000lbs

2018 BULLETINS:

  • Attention all competitors!! We have the capability of extensive technical inspections on all crate motors.  Anyone caught cheating with internal modifications will be suspended for a minimum of one (1) year. 

  • Prostocks, Purestocks & 4-Cylinders - MUST HAVE TOW CHAIN LOCATED IN THE FRONT AND THE REAR, ATTACHED TO FRAME AND OR SOLID LOCATION

Handicapping Bulletin:

Substitute Drivers – A driver may elect to allow a different driver to drive their car on a one time basis during the season. Notification of the change shall be made to the handicapper during the driver sign-in period. Drivers are allowed to substitute only in the division they normally run.

The substitute driver will be handicapped and scored as if they were the original driver with the original driver receiving the points and any purse money awarded for that race.  Substitute driver will not be credited with points or handicapping towards any subsequent races.  Driver changes on race days are allowed with as much advanced notification as possible to be provided to the handicapper.  If driver qualifies through the heat he/she will start last of the qualified cars.

MODIFIEDS

  • BIG BLOCK MODIFIED 525 RULES: 

    • 1.  No one who finished in the top 5 in points can build a 525.

    • 2.  Minimum weight 2450 lb.

    • 3.  No lightning of the cylinder block,Cam Bores & Lifter Bores must remain stock dimensions.

    • 4.  You must be approved by the board of directors or Howard Commander to build a 525 c.i.engine.

    • 5.The cylinder head will remain a 300 AFR head.
       

  • All Modifieds Must Have A 2018 DIRTcar Membership In Order To Receive Purse Money.
     

  • MODIFIEDS PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WE ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDING THE FOLLOWING DIRTcar RULE BULLETIN FOR THE 2015 RACE SEASON

    15.9      Roll Cage  F.) MANDATORY Frame/Roll Cage update by January 1, 2015: A piece of tubing, a minimum of 1-1/4” in outside diameter and .-095”-inches in thickness, must be installed vertically and must extend through the car into the bottom frame rail or extend back to the union at the top of the door and rear main hoop joint. The tubing must be installed in a manner that does not impede the driver exiting the cockpit. The tubing must be mounted a minimum of 9”-inches and a maximum of 12”-inches on the roof bar from the existing rear roll cage hoop. This must be installed symmetrically on both sides of the roll cage. Existing cars must be retrofitted with this piece of tubing.
     

  • BIG BLOCK MODIFIEDS:The AIR FLOW RESEARCH oval 300 heads(a 24 degree head) will be legal at Lebanon Valley, Albany Saratoga and Orange County speedways.  The weight is posted at 2400 pounds. No touching of factory ports and or CC markings. Intake can be matched. These heads will be checked at the end of events.  Titanium valves will be legal on the intake side.

    Notes: These Complete heads are 3250$.. The overly competitive rule will apply if needed. Got a good bottom end?  This will be a good cheap engine with fair HP and Great TORK. Open intake applies (any intake) see Dirt Modified intake.
     

  • Please Be Advised That The Big Block Modifieds Will Be Permitted To Run 400's or 500's.
     

  • Right Front Can Be A 300
     

SMALL BLOCK MODIFIEDS

  • One spacer allowed between the carburetor and intake manifold.  Maximum height of the spacer will be 1”.  One gasket allowed on the top and bottom of the spacer.  Open or 4 hole spacer allowed.
     

  • The only rear end allowed will be the quick change style that have movable quick change gears when the ring and pinion moves.  No rear ends allowed that in one piece without quick change gears that account for the final ratio.
     

  • There has been a revision to the Small Block Modified handicappingis based on the night's event schedule, weather, car counts, etc. All drivers need to check the board each week for the number of laps and number of handicapped carsFEATURE LENGTH: Less Than 18 Cars The Feature Will Be 20 Laps More Than 19 Cars The Feature Will Be 24 Laps

SPORTSMAN

  • Sportsman Cars Will Be Abiding By The Dirt Rules Pertaining To Exhaust.  No Stainless Steel Allowed.

  • Clarification .... We Are Going Under DIRTcar Rules.  See 2016 Rule Sheet.  All DIRTcar Rules Apply.
    To Those of You Thinking GM Specifications, You Are Late By Almost One Year.  Effective May 19th, The Cam Lobe Separation Will Be Where It Was Specified By DIRTcar (See Mike Petrucci)... GM Specifications DO NOT APPLY.  If You Are Near The DIRTcar Limit, Your Cam Shaft Will Be Pulled and Checked.  In Order To Avoid Being Illegal, Simply Be Legal.

     

PROSTOCKS

  • Must Have A 2018 DIRTcar Membership In Order To Receive Purse Money.
