West Lebanon, NY - Lebanon Valley Speedway proudly announces it's 57th Season Opener is set, and ready to roll! The Valley of Speed has gone through many changes of the years, new paint, new walls, upgraded buildings and facilities, more food choices, more seats, but the one true constant for the last 57 seasons is what sets Lebanon Valley apart from all the rest - the legendary High Banks!
With this historic season ready to get under way, the mighty high banks are once again groomed, smoothed, and set for the most exciting racing action that the northeast has to offer.
"We want our fans to know that without them, there wouldn't be any racing, and there wouldn't be a Lebanon Valley Speedway!" stated track General Manager Lyle Devore.
"The prices at the gate are still just $10 for adults, kids are still $2 for most all of our regular shows" he continued. "It's important to get the message out to everyone that no matter what all the experts say about the economy, the one thing that will still be here is this track, it's fans, and it's drivers and teams."
And with ticket prices, and food prices almost the same as 2008, the only different should be the racing each and every week.
There are some verteran drivers returning to the high banks after some time away, like Donnie Corellis in his legendary #57, past champion Dickie Larkin is scheduled to make a return to regular Saturday night racing, Brett "the Jet" Hearn is also scheduled to return for 6 or more races this season.
They will try and mix it up with the veterans like Kenny Tremont, Eddie Marshall, Guy Sheldon, and the new kid, Kory Sandstedt in the #88.
The action is set and ready to go racing! Are you gonna be there.... or would you rather just watch TV reruns all night?
Saturday night will also feature a "warm up" night for the Sportsman and Budget Sportsman divisions.
